I am doing an employee benefits fair tomorrow so I borrowed the medium-sized Aflac duck from my regional manager. (Yes, there is a bigger one.) Today, the Aflac duck has been riding around town with me. I got a strange look from the lady parked beside me at Publix; then, I remembered I have a large stuffed duck sitting in the front seat of my car.
This year marks my tenth anniversary as an independent health and life insurance agent with Aflac. It is quite an accomplishment. Sales in any industry is hard but many folks don't make it to six months in the insurance business so I am proud to say I have made it ten years. Some years have been really good. Most of the awards in my office are from 2006. I had a terrific gal in my district who was an insurance selling machine. She moved to New Mexico in 2007. With my mom's health and the poor economy, I am not winning any awards but I am still chugging along.
My longest tenure any where was the eleven years I worked for Philips Semiconductor. Maybe I will make it twelve with Aflac.
Writing is an outlet for me to express my opinions, feelings and happy thoughts. My favorite topic is my family both past and present.
